McCain Foods (Canada) is currently seeking a oneyear term Reliability Engineerto join our leadership team inPortage La Prairie MB.

We are seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to join us in Portage la Prairie MB. This position will report directly to the Maintenance Manager. McCain Foods is seeking someone who has a strong technical background a desire to grow as a leader in the engineering department in the role of Reliability Engineer. The ideal candidate needs excellent interpersonal skills as they will deal with everyone from general laborers and mechanics to plant management on a daytoday basis. An ability to work in a fast paced fun and teambased environment is crucial


Accountabilities:

  • Leads the Root Cause Failure Analysis effort for sporadic equipment failures and ensure failure modes are addressed and countermeasures are in place.
  • Conduct criticality analysis of equipment in the plant and update as new equipment is installed.
  • Manage or assist with multimilliondollar capital projects.
  • Maintain and develop reliability KPIs in conformance with McCain standards
  • Work with reliability technicians to ensure continuous improvement of existing lubrication and condition monitoring programs
  • Research and implement new condition monitoring and predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Assists Project Supervisor with reliability analysis of new designs to determine system asset and component reliability.
  • Makes specific recommendations to the Engineering Management Team to improve machinery performance and reliability based on analysis of process and failure data.
  • Direct and lead the maintenance of a record keeping system consistent with a world class reliability program.
  • Responsible to perform statistical analysis on machinery failure and life cycle data to determine whether adjustments to the Maintenance Strategy are warranted and set correct frequency of task(s).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: minimum Undergraduate degree in Engineering required.
  • Can communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in written work
  • Strong technical expertise and problemsolving skills
  • Strong analytical skills (e.g. root cause analysis and statistical analysis)
  • Displays vision and demonstrates both personal and organizational sensitivity
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawings schematics and computergenerated reports
  • CMRP Vibration Analyst Cat.1/Cat.2 or MLT I/MLT II certifications are considered an asset
