Job Purpose
We are looking for a Producer/Director to join Wales Investigates.The successful candidate will have strong journalistic skills and a real interest in investigations; digging beneath the surface and creative storytelling.
Youll also have a proven track record in producing content.
Working on challenging and agendasetting stories youll generate & investigate strong story ideas interview direct research and write scripts for 30/60 minute films.
Youll have strong journalistic skills and a proven track in programme production.
Youll also have the ability to help lead and develop a team of production staff.
Youll be working with people from all walks of life encouraging them to recount their experiences in accurate and accessible ways.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
You will work with the Executive Producer Senior News Editor and other members of the team to help investigate and produce creative imaginative and exciting content. You will be working on challenging and agendasetting stories youll generate investigate and produce strong story ideas. You will have some experience in producing investigative films and will be expected to film research interview direct and write scripts as well as producing engaging digital content for all our platforms. Youll also have the ability to help lead and develop a team of production staff. Because of the nature of the job you must be highly flexible and ready to work with extremely sensitive material both legally and editorially.
Knowledge Skills Training & Experience
You will have :

Experience of working on all types of news and current affairs.
