Job Description
Creating Passion: Your Responsibilities
- Develop ECAD library elements including electronic schematic symbols PCB footprint cells and component 3D Models using the Mentor Graphics Siemens Xpedition/EDM tool suite
- Reviews for quality improvements and specification compliance
- Support our ECAD Administrators in testing and rolling out new features
- Interfacing with several different engineering tools and disciplines
- Support for CIP projects and maintain components over lifecycle
Contributing Your Strengths: Your Qualifications
- Degree in electrical engineering or Physics.
- Two years of experience working with electronic components including semiconductors passive components and electromechanical commodities and their applications
- Two years of experience in ECAD/PCB/EDA library development and layout design process
- Knowledge of the Mentor Graphics suite (xDM DMS Xpedition PADS Professional DXdatabook or other related ECAD software tools
- Understanding of IPC7351 standard land patterns and/or other footprint calculation methods and standards
- Knowledge of ECAD library management practices and ECAD Library development principles to minimize design risks and hazards
- Shifting from one task to another as priorities dictate
