Job Description

SUBSTITUTE POSITIONS ARE ONCALL ATWILL POSITIONS WITH NO GUARANTEE OF HOURS OR WORK.

An online application is required for any Clover Park School District substitute looking for substitute opportunities during summer school.

Pay Rate

Substitute LPN $37.96/hr

Summer School Dates: June 23 2025 July 11 2025Monday Friday

Building Principal

SUMMARY OF ASSIGNMENT

Under general direction of the building principal with lead direction from the Director of Student Services provides health related services for students. Demonstrates competency in providing direct nursing care to students as delegated by an ESA Certified Registered Nurse. Maintains records as required by State statute and District policy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

technology dependent students to and from school when medical status is considered at

risk for life threatening event during transport; uses skilled nursing judgment.

standard physical health care procedures; tests and records vision weight hearing scoliosis

and immunization status of students.

health and nutrition education to children and parents in coordination with other staff.

with the identification prevention and control of communicable diseases; observes universal

precautions at all times.

organizes and maintains student health records files and supplies.

District and community services for students with paraeducators volunteers school nurse

and building administrator.

first aid CPT and emergency care to students who are sick or injured; notifies school

nurse administrator and parents as required. Completes accident and suspected child abuse reports

as required.

prescription and nonprescription medicine as prescribed by health care professional or

parents; maintains daily log.

training related to students medical treatment needs.

other essential functions as requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
State license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

of care and maintenance of medical supplies and equipment.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Employment with Clover Park School District is conditional pending completion of a Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint background check as required by RCW28A.400.303. (NOTE: All associated background check fees are the employees responsibility. The fingerprint scan must be completed prior to the first day of employment.

Employees who are anticipated to work 630 hours during the school year (September 1 through August 31 are eligible for medical dental vision long term disability and basic life insurance benefits.

Retirement and Deferred Compensation

Eligible employees are required to be a member of the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems Plan. For eligibility information check on the link to the Department of Retirement Systems web site.

Employees also have the ability to participate in tax deferred 403(b) and 457 Deferred Compensation Plans (DCP). These are supplemental retirement savings programs that allows you control over the amount of pretax salary dollars you defer as well as the flexibility to choose between multiple investment options.
