Job Description
Shawnee Health is seeking aNurse Manager for Shawnee Health Carbondale Medical Same Day and Behavioral Health Clinics. This position reports directly to the Chief Director of Nursing.
- Responsible for directing supervising and evaluating RNs LPNs CMAs and Medical Assistant Apprentices in the clinic setting in all aspects of patient care.
- Guiding planning and directing clinic activities with ongoing assessment of the quality and efficiency of these activities.
- Coordinating schedules for nursing staff assigned to the area of responsibility.
- Maintaining effective utilization of manpower equipment and supplies.
- Assuming all administrative responsibilities of assigned location(s).
- Supervising the overall nursing care performance maintaining quality patient care and providing staff assessments with written evaluations at designated intervals.
- Coordinate nursing efforts to ensure that effective efficient patient care is being provided and that quality standards and measures are met.
- Oversees immunization program including vaccine ordering process proper storage and handling inventory management and compliance with state and other requirements.
- Demonstrates ability in critical thinking conflict management motivation and mentoring.
- Demonstrates a positive and effective working relationship with the entire health care team.
- Investigates attempts to resolve and reports complaints and identified risks.
- Responsible for staff development and includes supporting learning for students apprentices and new hires.
- Execute nursing interventions by collaborating with the interprofessional team incorporating appropriate standards of care and practice and patient outcomes.
- Requires current RN licensure.
- At least 3 years of clinical practice experience
- Minimum of 2 years of previous management experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
