The Amazon Selling Partner Promotions (SPP) team manages promotional experiences for businesses selling on Amazons global marketplaces. The platform enables various types of promotions that help sellers engage with customers during shopping events and regular retail operations.
The promotion ecosystem generates several billion dollars in annual revenue while delivering savings to customers through integration with Amazons retail systems. The platform processes millions of promotions daily connecting with core business systems including inventory management pricing and checkout services.
Key job responsibilities
Leading features and projects endtoend independently
Collaborating with Product Managers other Software Engineers and users
Managing the complete software delivery lifecycle from requirements to production
Mentoring junior developers
Reviewing code and design documents
Understanding complex pricing and promotion systems
Integrating solutions with Amazons broader ecosystem
Creating scalable and extensible solutions
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
