Job Summary:TheSite Load Specialist (SLS) is responsible for ensuring accurate load measurement efficient site operations and exceptional customer service. This role focuses on measuring and categorizing loads for billing purposes adhering to strict safety protocols and maintaining compliance with the companys waste acceptance policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Load Measurement and Categorization:
- Accurately measure all loads using established protocols to account for variability.
- Categorize grapple truck loads (small medium large) and ensure accurate billing for half and full loads only.
- Identify chip trucks and determine load sizes based on truck length (small medium large).
- Measure and bill nonchip truck chips/mulch brush items and mixed loads appropriately.
Material Handling and Billing:
- Charge underbedlevel material (e.g. bags or bundles) per item.
- Assess big wood and large logs applying specific fees for oversized wood based on dimensions.
- Ensure only authorized personnel measure loads for billing purposes.
Waste Acceptance Policy Compliance:
- Inspect all incoming loads to confirm compliance with company policies.
- Reject unaccepted materials or apply additional charges if prohibited items are discovered during unloading.
- Communicate policies clearly to customers.
Safety and Training:
- Conduct load inspections safely from the ground or using factoryinstalled ladders.
- Follow established safety protocols including PPE usage and site traffic management.
- Train onsite to identify dump areas and ensure proper material handling.
Customer Service:
- Provide courteous and professional interaction with customers.
- Educate visitors on load measurement practices and accepted materials.
Materials Accepted:
- Yard waste tree trimmings grass clippings leaves.
- Logs up to 40 inches in diameter and 10 feet in length.
Materials Not Accepted:
- Stumps with dirt/rock long tangled debris building materials plastic bagged yard waste trash dirt or railroad ties.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in material measurement or waste management is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Commitment to safety and operational protocols.
- Must be able to work Saturdays and one or two other days of the week.
