Position Summary:The Specially Designed Instruction Mentor will serve as a guide and resource for educators to effectively implement specially designed instruction across the district. This role emphasizes coaching supporting and mentoring teachers in the use of evidencebased strategies and curriculum to improve outcomes for students with disabilities. The Specially Designed Instruction Mentor works collaboratively with school teams and district leadership to ensure compliance promote instructional fidelity and enhance student achievement.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree in special education or a related field required
Masters degree preferred
Experience:
Three 3 years of experience in special education including implementation of specially
designed instruction
Proven experience in mentoring coaching or providing professional development
Specialized Knowledge License Etc.:
Possess or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Oklahoma teaching certificate in Special Education
Familiarity with federal and state special education laws and regulations
Indepth knowledge of specially designed instruction and evidencebased practices for students with disabilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
Proficient in technology tools for education and data management
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Advisor
