The ministry provides policy and regulatory oversight of the financial securities insurance and pensions sectors. TBF also oversees compensation and other labor relations matters related to public sector collective bargaining and nonunion compensation.

Shape the future of public agency governance in Alberta! As a Senior Governance Analyst with the Legislative Projects Unit in Treasury Board and Finance youll champion best practices transparency and accountability in public agency governance influencing key policy decisions that drive governance excellence across the ministry.
This pivotal role within the Legislative Projects Unit supports the delivery of the ministrys agency governance agenda. As a Senior Governance Analyst you serve as the primary advisor and liaison for public agency governance supporting the recruitment and appointment of board members and collaborating with a broad range of government and public agency stakeholders. Your expertise will ensure that governance frameworks align with legislative and policy requirements fostering transparent and accountable operations across the Ministry.
In this role you will be instrumental in developing managing and refining governance frameworks for TBF public agencies. You will provide strategic guidance on governance best practices ensure accountability and transparency in agency reporting and support and provide recommendations on the entire recruitment and selection process for board appointments. Collaborating closely with internal divisions legal counsel and executive offices you will streamline decisionmaking processes resolve complex governance issues and proactively drive improvements across the agency landscape all while maintaining a coordinated and integrated approach to public agency governance.
