Job Description

About your next challenge as Senior Manager Program Management:

Reporting to the General Manager of L3Harris MAPPS you will be responsible for the provision of all products and services under the contract of the River Class Destroyer (formally Canadian Surface Combatant) Portfolio of Projects within L3Harris MAPPS.

More specifically you will provide leadership and positive influence and work collaboratively with the Customer and other internal and external stakeholders to identify projects scope timelines and resources determine and propose solutions deliver the products and services as agreed under the Contract and grow the Portfolio.

What you will do:

You will be responsible for the Profit and Loss (P&L) of the River Class Portfolio managing the cost schedule and technical performance of the Program including the participation in the negotiation of Contract and Contract changes coordination of the preparation of proposals performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications budgets and terms & conditions during the transition to an SBCA (Sustainment Business Case Analysis) Contract with the customer.

You will be the Primary point of contact for all matters on the RCD Program managing a team of Project and Program Managers supporting each of the major constituent contracts:

  • Working closely with the customer as part of the Program management team and various Integrated Project Teams (IPTs);
  • Effectively apply proven skills in project planning and control contract management customer relationship management and budget management;
  • Identifies any shortfalls in resources or skill sets or other challenges within the Program and determines/proposes solutions;
  • Lead the Program team assigned to the Program;
  • Responsible for the performance of all projects under Contract in terms of costs quality and schedule for the client;
  • Identifying new business opportunities with the client negotiates agreements and if required resolves potentially litigious situations with the support of Contract personnel;
  • Directing management personnel and specialized professionals fostering the development evaluating the performance of team members conveying and communicating corporate values within the department;
  • Chairing and facilitating various meetings and work sessions in order to review the progress of work manage risks solve problems and manage potential conflicts with project team members or with the client;
  • Managing relations with the customer and with all stakeholders within a matrix organization.

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • 10 years of experience in Program Management 5 years managing largescale capital Aerospace and Defense (A&D) Programs;
  • University degree in Business Administration Engineering or other relevant fields;
  • Personnel management experience is required;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English with French as an asset;
  • Deep knowledge of Program management best practices; and experience in Earned Value Reporting with PMP Certification as an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically. Big picture vision;
  • Strong analytical organizational and change management skills including the ability to organize/optimize team structures. Ability to organize complex issues and situations in clear concise and simple models;
  • Team building / Communication skills including effective writing briefing and ability to motivate; Consensus building issue resolution/problem solving skills conflict resolution facilitation and negotiation skills;
  • Proactive demonstrates enthusiasm initiative and a strong leadership and demonstrates good planning organizational analytical monitoring and decision making skills;
  • Dedication commitment and judgment. Applies rigor and discipline;
  • Respond positively to pressure.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be eligible for registration with theControlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance.
