Responsibilities
Oversees and reports on schedules for multiple smaller projects or one larger complexproject.
Active in schedule development construction planning process and projectpursuits in collaboration with the superintendent and project manager.
Reviewsdurations based on quantity and production factors and adjusts master scheduleaccordingly.
Provides schedule risk analysis reports outcomes to senior projectmanagement and manages schedule updates.
Qualifications
- Postsecondary degree or diploma in construction management engineering or a related discipline preferred.
- Applicable scheduling certification an asset.
- 810 years of progressive scheduling experience in construction or related field preferred.
- 4 years of experience in a supervisory role is an asset.
- Expert knowledge of construction specifications building materials methods and procedures and the ability to read and understand construction drawings specifications contracts and proposal documents.
- Indepth knowledge of schedule requirements in the contract documents.
- Prior experience with field construction operations and how a project is constructed including logical sequencing of work through all phases of theproject from pursuit to project closeout.
- Ability to create solutions for complex engineering and planning principles to construction challenges.
- Thorough understanding of organizational strategies and practices with the ability to apply planning and scheduling principles to formulate and implement project best practices and techniques.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and present ideas and content that influence a favorable outcome.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment with multiple stakeholders including estimators field supervision subcontractors project team and clients.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while prioritizing work (for self and others) under strict timelines and being flexible to changing needs.
- Evaluate and define processes and parameters to enhance and improve project planning and scheduling and awareness of district strategic plans.
- Previous experience with additional scheduling software systems
This position is classified as a safetysensitive position.
The salary range for this position is between $123300 and $154100 annually based on experience and qualifications.
