McCain Foods (Canada) is currently looking for General Operator to join our team at the Grand Falls SL4 Plant
DUTIES:
- Responsible for ensuring safety of self and coworkers.
- Material handling of 19 kg boxes and bags.
- Responsible for following change over policy and requirements.
- Responsible for some sanitation duties
- Trouble adjust and maintain equipment as required.
- Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Critical Control Points (CCPs).
- Ensure SQCDPE targets are met by understanding and goal setting of KPIs.
- Follow JHAs and work safely. Participate in STEP program (Behavioral safety observations)
- Dealing with production issues working in a fastpaced team environment
- Participate in Team meetings as required.
- Complete core curriculum Elearning courses
- All additional duties as they become assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule including nights weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer skills would be an asset.
- Ability to work well with plant supervision and production employees.
- Team player with excellent attendance.
- Must have good mathematical skills and complete production forms accurately and neatly.
- Demonstrate continuous initiative and involvement.
- Highly motivated observant with good initiative and a positive attitude.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment adapting to and embracing change as it occurs.
- Lift truck operator skills are an asset to replace the packaging and cold storage lift truck operator. Must be willing to learn and operate a Lift Truck has needed.
- Must be selfmotivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must possess a good safety record and demonstrate safety first on a continual basis.
NOTE: This description constitutes the minimum requirements for the General Operator Position. Other duties may be assigned at Managements discretion.
