M te tnga About the role Mu About you Whats on offer
This role supports the sustainable management of natural and physical resources in the Taranaki Region. Youll be responsible for investigating evaluating and providing advice on resource consent applications under the Resource Management Act 1991 and relevant National Environmental Standards. This includes preparing highquality reports and documentation that supports robust well informed decision making.
Youll also engage directly with applicants and tangata whenua partners and may provide planning advice at hearings and Council meetings.
This position reports to the Team Leader Resource Consents.

And Experiences
Were looking for someone with a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science Planning Resource Management or a related field ideally with at least two years experience in the resource consents process especially in a regulatory or local government setting. Most importantly you bring initiative curiosity and a positive attitude to your work.
To set you up for success in this role youll ideally bring:
A solid working knowledge of the Resource Management Act 1991
Strong multitasking abilities and the confidence to thrive in a dynamic work environment
Sharp analytical and problemsolving skills with strong attention to detail
The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a supportive team
Comfort with common digital tools and systemsor a willingness to quickly learn them

The starting remuneration range for this role is $75668 $89021 per annum (including KiwiSaver).
