Come work as a Stroke Neurologist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

Vancouver General Hospital Division of Neurology is seeking a RCPSC Certified Neurologists with fellowship training in Stroke and Cerebrovascular disease. The person hired will have the opportunity to establish a fullscope stroke subspecialty practice with expectation to participate in general neurology service. Clinical oncall responsibilities are divided between 12 stroke neurologists for the stroke service and all 30 neurologists for the general neurology service. Hospital outpatient clinics include stroke clinic and rapid access general neurology clinic.

Minimum 1 year of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disease fellowship with interest large vessel vasculopathy or stroke rehabilitation and medical education.

VGH is a teaching hospital and therefore teaching with medical students residents and fellows are mandatory. Research and other academic activities are assets.

Qualifications

Education Licensing & Experience:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Desired
  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) Mandatory
  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) Mandatory
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) Mandatory

Minimum 1 year of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disease fellowship with interest in large vessel vasculopathy or stroke rehabilitation and medical education.
