Job Description

As a Customer Service Representative Import/Export Specialist you provide a maximum level of customer service to assigned domestic and international accounts while working with SCM Silica Global Sales Team to ensure that sales and profitability objectives are met. You coordinate all aspects of domestic and international order and logistics processing while applying specialized knowledge of international variations in export/import regulations and legal aspects of the ordertocash process. You will maintain ongoing relationships with assigned key customers.

This position will be a hybrid work schedule based in Monroeville PA and you will report to the Supply Chain Manager. PPG/Qemetica offers excellent Medical Dental & Vision Benefits; matching 401k retirement savings; and Paid Vacation Holiday pay.

Responsibilities:

  • Order management and invoicing integrity to satisfy customer service standards and internal business information requirements is a significant responsibility of this position.
  • Coordinate contact with customers assuring accurate order management processing suggesting alternative products and services and providing support in the resolution of customer complaints and issues.
  • You will coordinate with Sales Logistics Transportation and Manufacturing with regard to product scheduling capacity service and systems issues account priorities customer ordering patterns forecasting and multiple customer issues that may arise throughout the ordertocash process.
  • Manage and apply working knowledge and application of Incoterms and payment terms; handle the review processing and approval of Letters of Credit Bank Drafts and Import Licenses.
  • Adhere to the procedures and activities surrounding PPG Export Compliance guidelines to process SCM international orders.
  • Ensure timely resolution of unauthorized deducts (UADs) and assist in account receivable collections and resolutions.
  • Provide all international documents from Commercial Invoices to SLIs so that the documentation for international shipments is done in an efficient and correct manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 3 to 5 years of customer service experience
  • Import/Export management knowledge preferred
  • SAP and Oracle Transportation Management Software (OTM) desired
