Job Description
Description of the project:
Youll be working in the GM Financing Stream Prime Brokerage and Swaps Crew supporting our pods to take our platform to the cloud. We are a team of dedicated professionals who are looking to build out our next generation platform to solve complex enterprisewide problems. Youll play an important role in ensuring the testing methodology is followed. Your tasks:
- Lead and mentor the Test Engineering team providing guidance and support;
- Develop implement and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures in compliance with test strategy testing standards templates and test plans;
- Design and execute test plans scenarios scripts and procedures;
- Identify document and track software defects and inconsistencies;
- Collaborate with Crew Leads Test Engineering Chapter Lead and Agile coaches to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle;
- Collaborate with Development Leads to understand and resolve challenges opportunities and areas of collaboration;
- Be hands as contributor in the test automation space capable to write and contribute to test automation frameworks lead across best practice for API stream and nonfunctional testing in the cloud and on prem;
- Analyze test results and report findings to the development team;
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations;
- Continuously improve Test Engineering processes and methodologies;
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies;
- Proven delivery of performing functional testing to assess for accuracy suitability interoperability functionality and accessibility; and nonfunctional testing to assess for security reliability efficiency reliability maintainability and portability;
- A strong sense of continuous improvement to continually be growing onces own craft learning new tools and sharing techniques across community.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively well within team across teams and in larger community of practice facilitate difficult discussions and agile ceremonies;
- Deep understanding of the software development craft with focus on prem and cloud based (Azure) event driven solutions and architectures;
- Experience delivering automation frameworks in cloud and on prem applications covering APIs streaming and event based architectures;
- Expert across the testing pyramid with practical hands on experience in unit component and integration testing covering both functional and nonfunctional requirements;
- Successfully applied solutions to meet nonfunctional requirements such as stability capacity latency and throughput;
- Handson experience of agile software development practices and methodologies especially Scrum;
- Knowing SQL at a good level (DML and DDL operations) DB basics (transactions sessions);
- Unix shell basics (at least knowing how to check space on a device or folder grep logs terminate processes working with filesystem.
