Why the Role Matters
The Australian Research Council Discovery Project on Remedies for Victims of Modern Slavery in IndoPacific Fisheries is a fouryear research program directed by Professor Justine Nolan (UNSW) and Professor Natalie Klein (UNSW) and Professor Shelley Marshall (RMIT). The position will be connected to the Australian Human Rights Institute at UNSW Sydney and associated with the Business and Human Rights Centre at RMIT via Professor Marshall.
This project aims to identify existing practical and legal obstacles to remedy and propose solutions under Australian regional and international laws. By joining our team you will contribute towards research that will advance business and human rights scholarship as well as the developing field of human rights at sea.
The Discovery Research Associate will report to Professor Justine Nolan and will have no direct reports.
