Job Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools.
Measure cut shape assemble and join materials made of wood wood substitutes lightweight steel and other materials.
Install floor beams lay subflooring and erect walls.
Fit and install trim items such as doors stairs molding and hardware.
Maintain repair and renovate residences.
Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
Collaborate with clients architects and other trades.
Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
Determine the materials and tools required to complete projects.
Construct building frameworks including walls floors and doorframes.
Select and evaluate materials for defects.
Install cabinets siding and insulation materials.
Manage inventory of supplies and tools.
Job Requirements
Minimum of 35 years of experience in residential carpentry or remodeling
Proficiency in measuring cutting installing and finishing a variety of materials
Knowledge of current building codes and regulations
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings
Skilled in the use of hand tools power tools and woodworking equipment
Experience with framing trim work cabinetry and custom woodwork
Ability to perform basic math calculations and measurements accurately
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and equipment
High school diploma or equivalent; formal training or apprenticeship in carpentry preferred
Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Willingness to work a flexible schedule
Commitment to safety protocols and OSHA standards
Capability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively on a team
Physical Requirements
Must have physical strength manual dexterity a good sense of balance excellent handeye coordination and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
Prolonged periods of standing climbing bending and kneeling.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and push and/or pull 50pound loads at a time.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions and terrains.
Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
What We Offer
This is a W2 position where you will regularly work an average of 3545 hours per week.
