The role
The Senior Manager Sterility Assurance will lead and drive the Sterility Assurance team at our production site in Brussels. In this key leadership role they will be responsible for implementing and maintaining sterility assurance practices and procedures to support the production of highquality sterile injectable pharmaceutical products. This position requires strong operational experience and a holistic view of manufacturing processes to drive consistency and efficiency in contamination control. In this role the incumbent will:
- Lead and develop the Sterility Assurance team managing performance capacity and professional growth.
- Define and execute the Sterility Assurance strategy aligning with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee contamination control strategies and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Act as the subject matter expert during regulatory inspections addressing compliance findings.
- Drive continuous improvement within the Sterility Assurance department fostering a culture of excellence and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Life Sciences or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Sterility Assurance or contamination control (Microbiology) within GMP Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in sterile manufacturing.
- Fluent in French and full professional proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
- Indepth knowledge of sterile manufacturing regulations and microbiological controls.
About the site
End of 2024 Novo Nordisk acquired the manufacturing site Catalent Belgium SA. The site is now part of Novo Nordisk and has begun the transition to become a fully integrated Novo Nordisk manufacturing site. To advance the integration the Brownfield Site Integration team for Brussels (BSI Brussels) has been established with the responsibility for local integration and capacity maximization in collaboration with the local team.
