We advance strategies and policies for data delivery content management and privacyrelated programs as well as ensuring responsible governance for Alberta Innovates and the Alberta Enterprise Corporation. To learn more about us please visit: the IPP Division the Innovation Ecosystem Branch (IEB) advances Albertas innovation agenda by setting direction for technology and innovation matters for government its agencies industry and academia; investing in research and innovation to build talent solutions and capacity; and providing direction oversight and evaluation of Alberta Innovates and the Alberta Enterprise Corporation to ensure their investments enhance growth of the tech and innovation sector. The actions of the Branch align with government priorities such as those identified in the Alberta Technology and Innovation Strategy (ATIS) and are intended to attract talent and expertise support the next generation of innovators and attract impactful innovation investments to help diversify the economy and lead to economic and social benefit for all Albertans.
The Innovation Partnerships and Investments unit (IPI) works with internal and external stakeholders to identify gaps and opportunities in the innovation ecosystem with the foresight of implementing programs and initiatives for delivery by system partners and department to better coordinate and strengthen Albertas innovation ecosystem development and commercialization efforts. The unit identifies paths for stakeholders/companies in the commercialization and scaleup journey by leveraging networks and programming. System optimization ecosystem development and strengthening Albertas commercialization efforts by working with key system partners including Government of Alberta agencies nonprofit organizations industry and academia and is an area of focus for the IPI.
The Innovation Ecosystem Branch is looking for a Manager of Innovation Partnerships and Ecosystem Supports. This position reports directly to the Director of Innovation Partnerships & Investments.
