The Jonus Group is a specialized insurance staffing firm committed to connecting skilled professionals with leading insurance companies. Our client is currently seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their team. Ideal candidate has experience with accounting general ledger budgeting forecasting ASC606 balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.

As the Finance Business Partner you will play a critical role in managing the financial aspects of the Workers Compensation function providing strategic insights and financial guidance to support decisionmaking and optimize the effectiveness of the program. You will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders providing financial insight analysis and guidance to drive decisionmaking and business performance. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams ensuring financial goals align with organizational objectives and contribute to longterm growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations to optimize revenue growth pricing strategies cost efficiency and margin improvement
Lead financial analysis and reporting for the Workers Compensation program including budgeting forecasting and variance analysis
Support longterm business planning by developing financial models budgets and forecasts
Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to support decisionmaking
Analyze financial performance identify key trends and provide variance analysis against budgets and forecasts and provide insightful recommendations to senior leadership for improving financial outcomes
Ensure accuracy and completeness of monthend financial reports including Balance Sheet and P&L reviews with delivery to divisional CFO
Collaborate with shared service teams to manage financial close processes ensuring timeliness and accuracy
Review and approve cash flow forecasts and work closely with the Treasury Manager to manage cash pooling and optimize cash usage across the business
Oversee accounts receivable collections and working capital management to improve cash conversion cycles
Responsible for delivery of standard monthend reporting requirements to include revenue analysis KPI and strategic initiative tracking capex and exceptional costs
Review and approve local bonus accruals payroll reconciliations and other ad hoc requests
Manage external and local audit process and liaise with auditors bankers tax authorities and other external parties
Drive operational efficiency by identifying costsaving opportunities and optimizing financial processes
Act as a trusted finance advisor to business leaders bridging the gap between finance and operations

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in finance Accounting Economics or a related field (MBA or CPA/CFA preferred)
710 years in a finance business partner financial analysis accounting manager or senior accountant role preferably in insurance workers compensation or risk management
Strong understanding of workers compensation financials financial modeling budgeting forecasting and variance analysis
Proficiency in ERP systems (Sage Intacct Microsoft Dynamics and/or Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decisionmaking
Experience in working with senior management and crossfunctional teams

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $120000 $150000 but depending on the candidate there could be room for a slight increase a 10 discretionary bonus.
