Job Description

The candidate(s) selected will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in Chandler Fab EPI areas.

The technician position is responsible for effectively executing tasks and activities that are required to maintain primarily the toolsets and support equipment within the EPI production area that will include:

  • ASM EPSILON E2000 Reduced Pressure Single Wafer Epitaxial Reactors
  • Helium & Hydrogen leak checkers
  • Exhaust abatement: ATLAS AirGard EcoGuard
  • Biorad FTIR
  • ThermoFlex 5000 TCS Chiller
  • Vacuum bag sealer
  • Operation of associated metrology equipment

The tasks and activities include but are not limited to troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic systems pneumatic and mechanical systems particle inspection and partitioning scheduled maintenance consumable changes and various other activities relevant to the success of the area. The desired candidate should have a solid understanding of SPC 5s FDC systems hand tool use calibrated measurement tool use (oscilloscope digital multimeter torque wrench etc. and demonstrate problem solving skills. The position requires the ability to interface with other internal and external groups to ensure all safety performance and reliability requirements are satisfied. The desired candidate will be required to complete documentation and train others.

The desired candidate will be required to effectively communicate using written and verbal skills stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours) and be physically able to perform required tasks which may include stooping crawling in confined spaces and lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds.

The position requires working compressed shifts days or nights.

Education:

AA AS AAS in electronics or other industrial engineering related discipline is preferred. Education along with experience or military training may satisfy formal education requirements.

Experience:

Specific knowledge of semiconductor maintenance job functions is required.
