Ventias Telecommunications team are seeking an Area Manager to oversee operations in QLD and NNSW.
Reporting to the Senior Field Area Manager the Area Manager will be responsible to manage the of approved asset management plans and operational practices to provide reliable and predictable network performance for the designated portfolio of Network assets.
This role is primarily focused on operational delivery ensuring reliable and consistent delivery of plans. The successful candidate will also be responsible to ensure risk identification/controls incidents and tenant/client/customer issues are managed as per the agreed processes. To be considered for this role candidates must be based in Brisbane or Gold Coast.

About The Role
Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
Lead & manage allocated field delivery teams and contractors to deliver the works program(s)
Supporting the workforce and the Facilities & Network Services Projects team in managing construction activities
Deliver in accordance with the requirements of the contract as defined by each SOW
Site Inspection Planning Contingency Planning Works Handover and Operational management
Develop and maintain a close working relationship with the designated client representatives via regular formal meetings
Propose and recommend options for upgrading facilities within the designated area to improve network integrity and assess the feasibility of such options; (Defects identified at the site)
Investigate advise and manage all incidents and restore to normal site conditions from plant equipment the performance of the network and other facilities equipment and safety
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
An ability to work autonomously drive your own time management and accountability in line with client deliverables during the required hours
Strong leadership and communication skills
About You
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
Willing to travel
Qualification in Electrical/Mechanical or in a similar trade desirable
Significant fieldbased experience in telecommunication power accompanied by a Project Management qualification (Fundamentals or Cert IV) desirable
At least 5 years of Facility or Engineering Management or Building Services experience
Minimum of 4 years experience working within an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) environment
Experience within a Telstra in a ticketofwork environment preferred
Track record of constructive & effective client relationship management with client operational representatives

Ventia has been awarded a new fiveyear partnership with Telstra to support nationwide lifecycle management and fixed network services for Telstras digital infrastructure facilities. The partnership will also cover the design and largescale construction of asset relocation and commercial works as well as the continuation of some services related to network design & construction including Wideband optical fibre data IP networks and wireless.
