The Opportunity
The Data Science manager will oversee all aspects of a rapidly growing teams daily Data Science responsibilities including setting priorities managing workload and meeting deadlines. You will collaborate with departmental leadership to establish refine and execute strategic roadmap for the data science program expansion within Roche Diagnostics Corporation.
Primary Responsibilities:
Build relationships with stakeholders effectively communicates to them and engages with them to deliver insights
Provides the necessary team coaching required to deliver Data Science solutions which are aligned with key organizational objectives
Ensures team adheres to established department process procedures and is engaged in developing new ones
Builds a culture that encourages development inclusion recognition innovation and feedback
Provides technical contributions where appropriate to achieve data science project goals
Leads team with a high level of change agility by quickly accepting change and driving it in a positive manner
Embraces Agile methodologies and tools including but not limited to documentation management and visual management
Builds strong collaborative relationships with peers that includes timely feedback and communication to gain alignment
Who You Are
Bachelor degree in Computer Science Informatics or similar field
8 years of experience in data management
3 years of leadership experience
Passionate about both leadership and the application of data science to drive insights and value within a businesscentric environment
Demonstrated understanding of data science principles and applications
Solutionoriented and agile approach to solving business problems
Extensive stakeholder management and technical leadership experience
Applied understanding of key technologies including but not limited to Python Alteryx and Tableau
Strong business acumen problem solving skills and consistent decision making
Ability to convey technical information to executive leadership and provide effective enterprisewide solutions
This position is based in Indianapolis IN and requires a hybrid work schedule.
No relocation support will be provided for this role.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $120300 $223300. Actual pay will be determined based on experience qualifications geographic location and other jobrelated factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
