INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION ENGINEER
GRAND PRAIRIE TX GRAND PRIARIE PLANT

The Role:

Your work will include but not be limited to:

  • Troubleshooting all aspects of factory based electrical control systems automated systems and processes.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process efficiency improvements utilizing human work/time measurement standard systems to optimize production throughput reduce overall costs and improve delivery performance.
  • Develop new tooling equipment or automation which will increase production or address ergonomics.
  • Familiar with and knowledge of installation programming and providing technical support of PLC based hardware and software such as Allen Bradley Systems
  • Ability to identify network communication issues reactively and proactively troubleshoot electrical based problems on conveyor systems motors drives pumps etc.
  • Use of computerassisted engineering (CAD) and design software and equipment to perform assignments.
  • Evaluation of existing components and/or systems to ensure ongoing reliability and support of integrated turnkey equipment and machinery.
  • Familiar with knowledge and understanding of OSHA electrical safety rule and regulation such as NFPA70E LOTO and Safe Cell Entry
  • Willing and able to supervise guide and direct plant maintenance technicians as required.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechatronics/Industrial Automation Engineering or Related field
  • Minimum of 23 years of JITJustInTime/Manufacturing/Automotive Industry Experience
  • Understanding of process efficiency/ work measurement standards/Basic MOST
  • Understanding and general skills in ladder logic preferably AllenBradley Systems; PLC5 SLC and ControlLogix.
  • Familiarity with Ethernet/IP and basic networking applications and practices
  • Working knowledge and understanding of plant power distribution equipment and controls
  • Working knowledge of robot teach points and programming code understanding.
