Job Description
We at Leggett & Platt Inc. are searching for a EHS Managerwithin our Operations team to help support ourAutomotive business. Did you know we are the worlds leading designer and manufacturer of seating support and comfort systems for transportation manufacturers as well as tier one and two suppliers within the automotive industry Thats right! Our automotive products fall into four primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support Wireless Charging Motors and Actuators and Mechanical Cables. If you join our team your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.
As an EHS Manager you willlead the implementation and administration of established health safety and environmental policies procedures and practices to meet requirements supporting short and longterm business needs.
As an EHS Manager you will:
- Ensure verify and improve EHS compliance with internal and external requirements including a system of regular audits; closely monitor new statutory regulations or requirements from Corporate.
- Initiate and conduct training activities to enhance EHS awareness and ensure correct reporting in Safeguard system
- Ensure legal requirements are being followed and regular meetings are conducted with the appropriate team
- Review and approval of new equipment regarding EHS
- Leading a safetyfirst approach maintaining a zeroaccident culture. Ensure and monitor work accident prevention and safe working environment across the business
- Fulfill assigned primary secondary and or tertiary deputy/backup roles as assigned and required on occasion by the business
To be successf
- College Degree and professional designation in the area of Environment Health & Safety
- 35 years of proven related professional experience
- Automotive experience is a plus
- Extensive knowledge of local & Corporate regulations related to safety health and environment in order to develop & implement & maintain measures of complianceDemonstracte extensive knowledge of safe work behavior and habitsExcellent communication skills
- Strong analytical skills needed to analyze and intepret data trends
- Very good presentation and training skills to conduct EHS training and to develop written procedures where required
- Prificiency in MS Office programs
