Job Description
Summary
Position Summary
Design build and maintain the infrastructure and systems that enable effective data collection storage processing and distribution of research data. This is a critical role that enables effective and efficient datadriven research by providing the necessary infrastructure and support to accommodate complex data requirements and ensure data integrity security and accessibility.
Essential Duties
- Create and maintain relational and nonrelational databases ensuring they are optimized for performance and scalability.
- Design develop and maintain data pipelines to automate the extraction transformation and loading (ETL) of data from various sources into research databases.
- Implement manage monitor and optimize data infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Develop and implement processes to clean validate and standardize data to ensure its accuracy and reliability.
- Ensure that data storage and processing comply with security standards and regulations.
- Work closely with data scientists researchers and analysts to understand their data needs and provide the necessary infrastructure and tools to support their work.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for datarelated issues encountered by researchers and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain custom tools and scripts to facilitate data collection processing and analysis.
- Create documentation for all data pipelines infrastructure and procedures.
- Works with researchers statisticians and faculty to develop data analysis quality control and reporting plans for research projects.
- Prepares datasets and databases for analysis.
- Assists investigators in running analysis and presentation programs and prepares output of presentation quality.
- Provides training to other staff members biostatisticians and researchers as necessary.
- Periodic offhours support for system maintenance activities.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in computer science engineering data science or a closely related field.
- Work Experience: A minimum of 3 years experience in a data engineering software development database management and/or clinical research role. Experience in research data management preferred.

Salary Range: $89208.44 $117978.17
