We are looking for a Sr. Software Development Engineer who is excited about leading the technical vision and architecture of security solutions. You will innovate in areas such as enterprise scale resource management in the cloud real time cloud intelligence and build systems that make it easy for global teams to define build requirements regardless of where their service or dependencies are hosted. You will partner with the leadership team to drive key engineering and business decisions that will influence and impact Amazons software stack.
Key job responsibilities
Drive the design implementation and deployment of efficient products to deliver access risk lifecycle management capabilities.
Adopt an iterative continuous improvement approach to release and deploy features.
Work in an agile environment collaborate with peers on designs technical refinements code reviews testing and customer issues.
Improve the extensibility performance and operational health of our existing systems.
Raise the bar for software development testing and operational excellence best practices.
Serve as a team technical leader.
Mentor and develop teammates both technically and professionally.
Seek out develop and advocate for new technologies.

5 years of noninternship professional software development experience
5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team
5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
