ATCO Gas owns and operates Western Australias largest gas distribution network with over 750000 connection points and 14000km of pipelines. ATCO also operates two progressive power generation stations in Adelaide and the Pilbara.
The Quality Assurance Inspector will be responsible for undertaking inspections and investigations on industrial commercial civil and domestic installations in line with the Gas Inspection program to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and gas installation standards.
What Youll Do:
- Conduct inspections and assess the competency of ATCOs contractors and internal workforce to ensure installations meet ATCOs requirements and commercial agreements.
- Inspect capital works on the gas distribution system by contractors and internal workforce ensuring compliance with technical and operational standards and regulations. This includes:
- Construction Completions
- Operational Commissioning
- Notices of Nonconformance or Rectification
- Variation Claims
- Contractor Invoicing
- Gas Mains Service Routes and Meter Positions
- Provide assistance and expert technical advice to contractors and internal workforce on design construction fault finding and problemsolving issues related to gas distribution capital works.
- Offer input and advice on network improvement opportunities and recommendations through Technical Services.
- Develop and foster relationships networks and alliances with contractors consultants and government agencies to deliver optimal and safe outcomes.
What we are looking for
- Certificate III in Gas Operations OR ATCO Common Trench qualification (highly desirable)
- G Class Gasfitting Licence (desirable)
- Considerable technical knowledge of gas industry regulations with significant experience in industrial commercial and civil construction.
- Welldeveloped communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to influence and build relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated organisational skills to efficiently manage tasks prioritize responsibilities and streamline processes in a fastpaced work environment.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence.
