About the role
The IT team is seeking an IT Cloud & Automation Engineer to join the Infrastructure team. This role is key to delivering our Cloud IT services to the organisation pivotal in building testing and maintaining cloud infrastructure and supporting the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) of IT services and software to the organisation. The role works closely with all the IT teams to ensure high quality outcomes for service releases utilising automation and orchestration tools to achieve this goal.
Key responsibilities include managing the transition of existing legacy infrastructure services to the cloud supporting and implementing our cloud technologies and solutions and leading the investigation and resolution of incidents. The role also involves ensuring IT infrastructure is robust and secure as well as identifying new opportunities to leverage technology to the benefit of the OfS business goals.
About you
The successful candidate will have a wide range of experience in IT operations and development including infrastructure management systems administration and coding/scripting. Ideally you will have a passion for technology and using it to innovate a proactive approach to problemsolving and the ability to interact professionally and collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
The role is handson with technology so you will be able to demonstrate practical experience of delivering IT operations using Azure especially Infrastructure as Code Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment Containers and automation. Ideally you will have a strong generalist background in networking and system administration along with a good knowledge of IT security principles and their application. ITIL and relevant technology certifications would be desirable.
