Job Description
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design planning delivery and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words were the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers storage networking power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and were looking for talented people who want to help.
Youll join a diverse team of software hardware and network engineers supply chain specialists security experts operations managers and other vital roles. Youll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities
1. Installing servicing and retrieving data center & network hardware.
2. Troubleshooting network installations & configurations.
3. Adhering to strict customer SLAs.
4. Traveling up to 5060 of the time between AWS locations domestically and internationally.
5. Coordinating remote hands & eyes for remote support.
6. Actively participating in small to midsize projects to build new or expand existing sites and deployments.
7. Connect and troubleshoot rack power connections and other facility resources.
8. Produce reports to management on metrics and project status.
9. Oncall duty will be required.

Experience with data center equipment and rack build/installation.
Operational understanding of networking hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling switches routers and server hardware and associated troubleshooting. Experience with Network Protocols: TCP/IP Ethernet technologies.
Several years working in a data center operations environment.
Proficiency in 1 or more network operating systems Cisco IOS NXOS Junos.
Industry standard certifications (CompTIA Cisco etc.
Basic understanding of Linux/Unix configuration.
