Overview
The GNM Staff Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering quality healthcare services to patients in Solapur Maharashtra. As a member of the nursing team the GNM Staff Nurse is responsible for providing compassionate and competent care that meets the health needs of individuals and families. This role is vital in ensuring patient safety and comfort within the healthcare setting while also promoting health education and disease prevention in the community. The GNM Staff Nurse is expected to collaborate effectively with medical staff maintain accurate medical records and administer prescribed medications according to established protocols. This position requires a deep understanding of patient care practices and a commitment to continuous professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patient health status and vital signs regularly.
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians.
- Develop implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Assist in diagnostic procedures and carry out medical prescriptions.
- Provide support and information to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records and documentation.
- Educate patients on health management and wellness strategies.
- Ensure a clean safe and organized environment conducive to patient recovery.
- Perform wound care and other routine medical procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care outcomes.
- Stay updated with the latest nursing practices and medical technologies.
- Participate in patient admission and discharge processes.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and assist in resuscitation efforts.
- Adhere to hospital policies and nursing standards to maintain quality care.
- Assist in training and mentoring new nursing staff and students.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma.
- Valid nursing registration with the Maharashtra Nursing Council.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of nursing practice standards and procedures.
- Basic life support certification is mandatory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer and electronic health record systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a highpressure environment.
- Demonstrated empathy and compassion towards patients.
- Strong problemsolving skills and critical thinking ability.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including shifts and weekends.
