Job Description
Overview
The Oracle Master Data Management (MDM) role is critical in ensuring that an organizations master data is accurate consistent and managed effectively. As businesses increasingly rely on data for strategic decisionmaking the importance of having a robust MDM framework becomes paramount. This role involves utilizing Oracle MDM solutions to streamline data management practices ensuring data integrity compliance and accessibility across various business units. An MDM specialist plays a significant part in enhancing data quality by developing and implementing best practices for data governance and data lifecycle management.
This position collaborates with various stakeholders including IT business units and data stewards to establish and maintain a central repository of master data. The Oracle MDM specialist will help identify data issues propose solutions and provide support for data ingestion and consolidation processes. Ultimately this role is essential for supporting organizational goals by enabling accurate reporting compliance and operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement MDM solutions utilizing Oracle technologies.
- Collaborate with business units to define data requirements and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain data models and metadata.
- Monitor and improve data quality through data profiling and cleansing.
- Facilitate data governance initiatives across the organization.
- Support integration of master data with other enterprise systems.
- Manage data lifecycle processes including data creation maintenance and retirement.
- Assist in conducting data audits to ensure adherence to standards.
- Train endusers and data stewards on MDM tools and best practices.
- Develop documentation for data standards policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations on data management strategies.
- Participate in project planning and for MDM initiatives.
- Resolve datarelated issues in collaboration with crossfunctional teams.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and protection regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
- 5 years of experience in Oracle MDM or similar data management roles.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with Oracle databases.
- Experience with data modeling and data governance frameworks.
- Understanding of data integration techniques and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with data quality tools and methodologies.
- Demonstrated problemsolving skills in data issues.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Experience in project management and agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with reporting tools and data visualization techniques.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance issues related to data management.
- Certifications in Oracle MDM or related areas are a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in documentation and technical writing.
- Willingness to stay current with industry trends in data management.
