Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a Senior Travel Designer for a luxury property group with offices based in Cape Town or Johannesburg. This role is ideal for a highly driven individual with a passion for luxury travel a flair for designing exceptional guest experiences and a proven sales background in the inbound tourism industry.
Primary Purpose:
The Senior Travel Designer is responsible for driving sales cultivating agent relationships and ensuring exceptional customer service. The role requires strong industry knowledge attention to detail and a proactive approach to promoting and converting travel bookings.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate and grow sales by securing costing and presenting travel journeys in a timely and accurate manner
Understand and apply supplier offerings specials and packages to provide competitive rates without compromising on quality
Maintain a high level of communication and service to Sales agents throughout the booking process
Collaborate with the Reservations Manager to track sales opportunities and agent developments
Ensure timely delivery of proposals and efficient turnaround of all quotations
Uphold the company s standards in guest experience and operational excellence
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
Matric certificate (with Mathematics)
Tertiary qualification in Travel Tourism or Hospitality (advantageous)
Experience:
Minimum 4 5 years of experience in inbound travel industry with a senior role in handling customer relationships and travel planning
Indepth knowledge of Southern and East Africa
Experience using TourPlan WETU or similar systems
Personal or academic travel experience beneficial
Skills & Attributes:
Creative dynamic and highly organized
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong financial and negotiation skills
High integrity ethical conduct and a proactive work ethic
