Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an Operations Specialist to join a prestigious luxury property group based in Johannesburg. This role plays a key part in supporting the Travel Designers by managing all operational and administrative elements of bookings ensuring smooth communication with suppliers and precise backend .
Primary Purpose:
To fulfill a full operational function in the booking process working closely with Travel Designers while managing supplier relationships and administrating the backend of each confirmed journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Secure bookings with all service providers in a timely and accurate manner
Serve as the first point of contact for suppliers and handle all related administration
Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers and internal sales support teams
Liaise with Travel Designers in an operational capacity on each booking
Compile the full electronic itinerary including flight details timings and contact information for guides and properties
Ensure all service confirmations are accurately documented and reconfirmed with suppliers
Prepare and check document packs prior to distribution when required
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
Matric certificate with Mathematics
Tertiary certification in Travel & Tourism or Hospitality
Experience:
Entrylevel to juniorlevel experience in a travel operations or reservations environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office email and internet usage
Strong English literacy
General knowledge of Southern or East African destinations
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
Foreign language skills are an advantage
