Provide advanced PAA support to the Fracture Clinic
Coordination of all administration and clerical activities within the department
Duties include: Patient Registration and updating of patient information scheduling appointment ordering and coordinating xrays and other diagnostic procedures
Chart preparation for all patient
Respond to incoming phone calls direct inquiries to appropriate personnel/area
Other administrative duties as required
Qualifications/Skills
Grade 12 educations with Postsecondary business/secretarial courses;
Candidates who have successfully completed the hospitals PAA training will be given priority consideration
One year of Administrative/Business experience required in a health care setting preferred
Medical Terminology course preferred
Computer/typing skills including Windows and MS Word are required;
Keyboarding at 40w.p.m. with maximum 5 error Rate
Demonstrated PatientFocused Care/Customer Service behavior
Advanced organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated understanding and ability to work in an interprofessional team environment
Proficiency with SunnyCare and Quadramed is required
Proficiency with electronic payroll system is required
Two years of experience with the PHS (patient scheduling system) is required
Experience in orthopedics and trauma is strongly preferred
Proven ability to respond effectively in a stressful situations
Excellent problem solving skills ability to deal with conflict and communicate appropriately with patients families and staff
Effective time management skills and ability to multitask is essential
