The Department of Finance and Business Economics at the Michael G. Foster School of Business University of Washington in Seattle WA invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor position to start in Fall quarter 2025.
Description of Opportunity
University of Washington faculty engage in teaching research/scholarship and service. The selected candidate will be appointed to the rank of an Assistant Teaching Professor with the possibility of future promotion. This will be a fulltime appointment eligible for benefits starting October 2025 assuming a September 16 2025 hire date. The initial appointment will be for oneyear with the possibility of renewal for future appointments of three years in length. The appointment will be fulltime 100 FTE) for a 9month term. The monthly pay will be between $10000 and $14000 per month depending on previous experience and qualifications. The projected teaching assignment will be nine courses in finance and/or business economics across the 3quarter 9month academic year.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in finance economics or a related field. The chosen applicant for this position will evidence success in the classroom teaching at both the undergraduate and masters degree levels across a wide range of courses including business economics corporate finance and/or investments.
