It is a handson analyst role in a fastpaced environment. It requires excellent analytical and reporting skills to model complex financial scenarios and bring large data sets to life for the finance business partners and the Operations team. The role sits within Retail finance working across over 950 trade counters and supporting the Finance Business Partners. Youll take ownership of the production of store sales targets reporting and analysis of the Store Support Programme monthend P&L reconciliations and ad hoc work. This role will drive process and reporting enhancements based on the latest technology. Responsibilities

  • Ownership of individual store sales targets for the year from principle setting to modelling and approval by the Retail Regional and Area Managers. This will include reconciliation to overall Budget and maintenance of targets within BI.
  • Ownership of reporting on Store Support Programme from identifying stores to production of monthly KPI report and trend analysis. Working closely with the Retail Finance Business Partners to understand performance drivers.
  • Responsible for preparation and delivery of the year end impairment test working alongside colleagues within Kingfisher Operational Finance and the auditors to ensure this test is compliant with IFRS standards.
  • Preparation of month end preparation and reconciliation of Controllable costs effectively communicating actual performance v Budget to key stakeholders and flagging any risks or opportunities.
  • Ad hoc project work as is required by the business to deliver enhanced performance across the store network.
  • Play an active part in the continuous improvement of both the Retail Finance and overall Screwfix Finance function. Drive towards simplification and automation of routine activity always challenging the status quo.

Qualifications

  • Excellent excel modelling and data presentation skills essential. Power BI knowledge preferable.
  • Attention to detail ensuring right first time accuracy maintaining the reputation and integrity of the function
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders within and outside of finance
  • Experience in a retail or consumerfacing business is preferable
  • A recognised financial qualification or part qualified CIMA ACCA ACA
