Join a dynamic multidisciplinary team in substance use disorder (SUD) Residential Treatment Services. Our treatment philosophy is comprehensive dynamic integrated and recovery based. Provides supervision for nursing staff at various residential locations in Fairfax County. Must be able to travel to all locations to meet with staff. Must be able to work as part of a treatment team which consists of substance abuse counselors mental health counselors nurses nurse practitioners psychiatrists and physicians. Strong communication skills both verbal and in writing required. Uses an integrated approach toward patient outcomes. Serves as an empowering body to influence patient empowerment and successful outcomes of clinical quality through relationships and accessbased knowledge. Uses evidencebased care guidelines for service delivery. As part of a leadership team determines processes policies procedures and workflow and ensures the appropriate decimation of information to staff and programs for delivery of care. This is an excellent position for the nurse who has a strong medical background along with knowledge and skills important in a behavioral health/ substance use disorder setting. Provides clinical and administrative oversight of nurses at various locations.
This position is Monday through Friday and onsite at various locations. May include weekend on call rotations as needed.

Any combination of education experience and training equivalent to the following:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a masters degree in nursing; plus three years of postlicensure experience as a nurse in the specialty area of psychiatric mental health nursing substance use disorders intellectual disability or relevant clinical specialty.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSURES REQUIRED:
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check a Child Protective Services Registry check a driving record check and sanction screening to the satisfaction of the employer. A TB screening upon hire and annually thereafter.
This position is emergency/essential services personnel. (Required to report for duty during inclement weather and/or other emergencies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs; independently drive county vehicle; and sit walk stand bend and write as needed to complete duties of the job. Ability to observe client behavior/ appearance and be able to converse with clients & coworkers. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
