Responsibilities
Receives unloads and segregates property. Verifies correctness of quantities condition stock / part numbers serial and / or model numbers against receiving / shipping documents obtained from either commercial or government source.
Records receipts to the Stock Record Account by use of data processing equipment.
Operates materiel handling equipment vehicles office machines mechanical equipment and tools in the performance of assigned duties.
Moves property to receiving points compares physical count identity condition and status of property with information contained in receiving documents tags labels and markings adjusting documents as required.
Determines internal destination of repairable shipment; based on stock lists disposition notices technical publications and other directories. Stores handles and disposes of hazardous material and waste.
Arranges property storage facilities to facilitate issue inventory and segregation by type or class within fire and safety requirements.
Stores property to provide for rotation of stocks. Establishes hazardous and flammable storage areas or warehouses.
Provides safe working area and prevents deterioration and contaminating effects of cold light heat moisture and insects and vermin destruction of property.
Places location symbols on storage facilities and maintains property location system.
Prepares and labels racks and bins loads and unloads vehicles moves and stocks pallets counts tags and labels materiel.
Prepares containers for use in storage or shipment of materials.
Issues ships delivers or transfers property from issue shipping or transfer destination points through coordination with requisitioning agency.
Controls issue of classified sensitive and controlled items obtaining custody or document receipts.
Compiles data for storage and occupancy planning reports. Prepares materiel for shipment.
Performs the timely movement of supplies from one area to another. Delivers and transfers materiel from issue shipping or transfer destination points.
Determines the requirements for transportation of all material and waste in accordance with Federal Regulations.
Must demonstrate the ability to use data processing terminals automated reports and supply procedures in performing supply issues receipts and inventory.
Inspects condition of property received. Compares property with procurement specifications and determines cause of unserviceability. Identifies property using technical data and blueprints and identifies components to assemblies.
Performs warehouse validation prepares warehouse for inventory provides and controls inventory hold areas and makes emergency issues and shipment.
Conducts inventory and prepares inventory adjustments and other required documentation.
Processes and expedites the requisition and subsequent flow of supplies and equipment within aircraft maintenance activities utilizing the governing Standard Base Supply Systems and Commercial Procurement systems and keeps related records.
Reviews maintenance schedules inventory reports and work orders to determine types quantities and availability of required material and priorities of maintenance requests.
Confers with aircraft maintenance supervisors on materials overdue and to determine the location availability and condition of materials to be returned to the supply system.
Locates and moves materials to specified maintenance areas using manual or mechanized material handling equipment.
Records quantity and type of materials distributed and on hand.
Compare work order specifications with material at work stations to verify appropriateness of material in use.
Update and maintain inventory and accountability records using manual systems and multiple computer terminals.
Receives stores and issues hand tools machine tools precision measurement equipment replacement parts shop supplies and equipment flight clothing and industrial towels for an aircraft maintenance facility.
Keep records of tools issued to and returned by workers. Searches for lost or misplaced tools. Prepares periodic inventory and keeps perpetual inventory records and requisitions replacement tools as needed.
Unpacks and stores new equipment. Visually inspects tools for wear or defects and reports damaged or wornout equipment to superiors.
Attaches identification tags or engraves identifying information on tools and equipment using electric marking tools.
Maintains and updates operating publications and technical orders. Operates associated office machines and telephones systems. Distributes mail and delivers messages.
Responsibilities
Catalog receive store ship/transfer issue and dispose of aircraft program spares equipment stockage bench stock and other materiel.
Schedule and perform supply inventories with appropriate Government accountability oversight.
Receive submit and maintain asset visibility transactions for the unit.
Monitor maintain status and reconcile Unique Item Tracking requirements through Seller Logistics procurement cell.
Review records to identify shortages and coordinate with the National Inventory Control Point for requisition and releases/shipment of high priority items.
Prepare equipment and paperwork (DD Form 13481 necessary for the turn in of Government property to DRMO.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Qualifications
Must be a U.S citizen.
Must pass a basic background investigation.
Familiarization with applicable US Air Force parts tracking system.
Must have experience with expediting aviation parts.
Must have a minimum of 6 years experience in a Supply function.
High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate and have the knowledge and ability to complete mathematical calculations.
Must have a working knowledge of property accountability storing methods receiving packaging issuing and shipping or transferring property.
Must demonstrate the ability to keyboard accurately at twenty 20 words per minute on a computer.
Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to write legibly and to read and interpret written and verbal instructions technical manuals or directives as necessary for accomplishment of job assignments.
Must demonstrate skills in administrative duties to include filing calculations and maintenance of logs and records and computer software used in the supply department.
