The Clinical Pharmacy Informatics Specialist (CPIS) will report to Sr. Director Diversion & Pharmacy Informatics (SDDI). CPIS is responsible for application portfolio that supports system pharmacy operations for a fully integrated TUHS and oversees the development implementation testing and maintenance of the pharmacy systems: ADC computer hardware/software pump library (safety guardrails) delivery and inventory systems. CPIS handles staff orientation training and pharmacy SARFS; as well as overseas and supports the development of management operational and clinical reports utilizing various report writers. Provides oversight for system implementation including testing validation new installation version upgrades and clinical database updates. Maintains consistent system formulary additions edits and deletions in all pharmacy systems. Assists with the CS compliance program audits reports data analysis and assists in active/potential diversion investigations. This position will work with SDDI as a secondary liaison with Pharmacy Medical Staff EPICWillow and Nursing Staff. Evaluates and implements technology to improve CS surveillance new pharmacy automation and technology to standardize operations and improve pharmacy efficiencies and performs ROI analysis on pharmacy tech.
Education
Bachelors Degree : Pharmacy or PharmD (Required)
Bachelors Degree: Healthcare Information Technology or a related field (Preferred)
Experience
5 years experience in healthsystem pharmacy practice (Required)
General Experience and extensive knowledge of Pharmacy/Healthcare IT (Required)
5 Years experience in pharmacy technologies and informatics specifically as it relates to pharmacy information systems automated dispensing devices bar code scanning medication administration automated packaging software inventory management software and report writing technology (Preferred)
General Experience and understanding of Pharmacy Informatics in both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy settings (Preferred)
General Experience in a large academic multihospital system medical center with matrix reporting structure (Preferred)
License/Certifications
RPHLIC PA Pharmacist License (Required)
