Shipping and Receiving/Warranty Clerk Mercedes Benz of Carlsbad

Summary:

Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Assists with parts inventory stocking and organization.

Essential Duties:

• Compares identifying information and counts weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading invoices orders or other records.
• Determines method of shipment.
• Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
• Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
• Inserts items into containers.
• Tracks warranty parts by tagging with repair order number date of replacement and date on which part may be disposed of.
• Nails covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal tape.
• Stamps stencils or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
• Posts weights and shipping charges and affixes postage.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments rejects damaged items records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Routes items to appropriate departments/personnel.
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Operates equipment to move convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage or work area.
• Disposes materials in recycle and trash bins as directed
• Completes health safety and compliance training as directed by management
• Performs tasks in accordance with health safety and compliance regulations and procedures
• Maintains a safe secure and organized working environment
• Completes manufacturer training as directed by management
• Deliver parts to Technicians in the shop
• If certified operate forklift in a careful and responsible manner.
• Collect warranty parts cores batteries and rotors from Tech bays.
• Shipping and tracking warranty parts sent to Mercedes Benz

Job Requirements:

Pay Rate: Pay for this position starts at $20.00 per hour
