Description
Program Description: Students in grades 68 will have the special opportunity to experience what its like to be a young artist at ChiArts. For five hours a day students will be immersed in excellent professional training in the conservatory of their choice and present a final showcase/gallery reception and performances in our auditorium on July 28th
Schedule:
July 7th 25th 9:00am2:00pm
There will be aTeacher meeting prior to camp; date TBD
Job Summary:
The Voice Instructor will design and deliver a music curriculum incorporating technical study ear training music reading and ensemble experience for daily classes to students in grades 68. The instructor will organize and host engaging and fun activities relating to music and prepare students for a culminating showcase on July 25th. Through this camp students should gain content and skill that they could bring to a ChiArts voice audition.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Must be able to commit to working for the entire 3 weeks of camp July 7th 25th MondayFriday 9:00am2:00pm as well as prior info meeting and a PD
- Experience in middle school music curriculum development preferred
- Experience teaching beginning voice students in an ensemble setting preferred
- Required to submit a curriculum map before camp
- Required to submit requested materials and/or music scores before camp
- Must be enthusiastic energetic and have outstanding communication skills
- Organization leadership and a dedication to working with children is essential
- Commitment to sharing and learning through the arts and the ChiArts mission
- Excellent classroom management skills
