  • Lead our Consumer Policy Operations team in Operational Excellence
  • 7month secondment opportunity with potential for permanent
  • Brisbane location

About the role

The Leader Consumer Policy Operations collaborates across Insurance to provide efficient and timely activities that support policy processing including amendments cancellations reconciliation activities to provide a seamless customer experience through the full policy team work closely with our strategic partners as well as Customer Service and Protection and Prevention teams to support Consumer products across all brands.

What youll do

  • Lead an Operations team to deliver efficiency effectiveness and quality to customers across all products and brands.
  • Provide leadership to ensure that work targets are met. The aim is to exceed customer expectations this includes prioritisation and allocation of activities as required to deliver agreed service levels.
  • Ensure functional alignment as defined in our strategy is delivered and maintained by our lines of business to maximise our scale opportunities.
  • Sound understanding of the value chain for policy lifecycle including upstream and downstream risks and impacts key processes internal and external stakeholders.
  • To nurture a culture that is flexible engaged and open to innovation and change.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external customers and service providers to bring about positive outcomes for Insurance.

What youll bring

  • 3 years comparable industry experience in general insurance.
  • Proven motivational leadership ability to drive engagement and performance of team members.
  • Demonstrated capability in delivering operational improvement initiatives.
  • Proven capabilities in team and individual performance improvement (both on and offshore).
  • Excellent knowledge of finance with the ability to interpret and analyse reports.
  • Ability to manage a partnered team to achieve optimal performance managing risk compliance and business outcomes.
