The Department
The School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine (SPHPM) at Monash University is a teaching and research unit of the Faculty of Medicine Nursing and Health Sciences and is centred at the Alfred Hospital Campus. It plays a prominent role in public health medicine and works closely with the major Monash affiliated hospitals research institutes and public health units within Victoria. It plays a prominent role in public health medicine in Australia and has a strong record for training individuals with the capacity and skills to assume leadership roles in Australia in this field. Our skills provide a key resource underpinning translational research within our Faculty.
The Position
The Registry Coordinator provides a variety of highquality project and research support services to deliver the operations of the Australian Cystic Fibrosis Data Registry (ACFDR) within CORRP in the School of Public Health. The ACFDR is a mature clinical quality registry with over 25 years of data from over 90 of people with cystic fibrosis in Australia. It collects data from individuals at 23 CF centres from the time of diagnosis and regularly throughout their life. The registry produces a comprehensive Annual Report reports to CF centres to support quality assurance and participatesin a variety of quality improvement and researchactivities.
The Registry Coordinator will be responsible for managing a range of daytoday registry activities under broad direction including engagement and communication with clinical sites data management and reporting data quality assurance and ethics and governance activities. The Registry Coordinator will also contribute to the effective operations of the registry by supporting Steering and Management team meetings communications to key registry stakeholders and a range of registryrelated projects. The position will support research related activities of the registries and will have the opportunity to participate in relevant academic professional development activities.
The Registry Coordinator works closely with the Unit and broader School researchers registry clinicians consumers and other external key stakeholders and operates with excellence in process and judgement to provide efficient research services in accordance with research protocols and standards.
