Job Description:
If you are a Supply Chain professional Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you. Based in our Sidney Ohio or St. Louis MO location you will be responsible for the operational daytoday facilitation of import and export transactions in compliance with applicable US laws regulations and Copeland standards. This position is responsible for auditing various aspects of import and export activity making vital corrections and/or implementing process improvements for developing and maintaining related procedural documents and other related duties as assigned by the US Trade Compliance Manager.
AS A TRADE COMPLIANCE ANALYST YOU WILL:
- Assign Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Export Control (ECCN) classifications.
- Execute free trade agreement and country of origin programs.
- Perform a wide array of screening functions for transactions and restricted parties.
- Analyze import transactions for ADD/CVD impact.
- Field escalations from from various internal areas of the business relating to trade data and responsibilities.
REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Bachelors degree in Business International Trade Supply Chain or related field plus one year of experience in business coop/internship experience will be considered
- Excellent communication problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to navigate and interpret US import and export laws and regulations or be willing to learn
- Legal authorization to work in the United States Sponsorship will not be provided for this position
PREFERRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Bachelors degree in Business International Trade Supply Chain or related field plus two(2 years of experience
- 2 years of experience with data analytics (SQL Python VBA) to support workflow business process automation
- Licensed customs broker

Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney who all support a multitude of business functions.
