Description

The Catherine Cutler Institute at the University of Southern Maine is seeking a Grants and Contracts Desktop Services Technician.

The Grants and Contracts Desktop Services Technicianis responsible for supporting and maintaining computer systems and peripherals. This includes imaging installing diagnosing repairing maintaining and upgrading both software and hardware while ensuring optimal performance and adherence to established standards. The Grants and Contracts Desktop Services Technician must possess knowledge of both PC and Apple products and will troubleshoot problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide enduser assistance where required.

This position will perform analysis diagnosis and resolution of desktop issues for endusers and recommend and implement corrective solutions as needed either facetoface over the phone by email realtime textbased chat or by using institutional remote assistance tools. The Grants and Contracts Desktop Services Technician must also work with the other Cutler IT and University IT staff as needed to address issues related to technology.

This is a fulltime position with a starting annual salary up to $51500 located on our Portland campus.
