Job Description

Telemetry Monitor Technician Mission Control (Full Time / Nights)

Work location:Texas Health Flower Mound 4400 Long Prairie Rd. Flower Mound TX 75028

Work hours:Full Time 36 hours weekly Nights 6:45 pm 7:15 am night schedule

Mission Control Department Highlights:

Heres What You Need:

  • High SchoolDiploma or Equivalent required
  • Basic understanding/ability to learn medical terminology
  • 1 year of telemetry monitoring experience strongly preferred

What You Will Do:

Demonstrates competency in the set up and use of the telemetry monitoring equipment.

Collects reports and documents patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.

Seeks assistance supervision or consultation when unsure of rhythm(s) identification.

Distinguishes and reports abnormalities and initiates action to provide continuity of care.

Processes admission and discharge or patients in system promptly. Prepares monitor for next patient admission.

Notifies patients primary RN promptly of any changes in patients monitor view.

Communicates promptly of perceived risks specific to patient safety or immediate need for assistance to coworkers nurses and physicians/providers.

Serves as a patient advocate.

Assists with documentation that supports and meets hospital and regulatory requirements.

Uses Professional Practice Model philosophy to work in partnership with patients families physicians peers and all other disciplines.
