Job Description
Project / Program Name:DTF Modernization Candidate will assist with modernization conversion and maintenance of the Taxpayer Accounting system (eMPIRE TA) for Personal Income and other tax types for the Department of Taxation and Finance. The existing system runs on the IBM mainframe platform based on COBOL/JCL/DB2 technologies.
Day to Day Tasks:
Candidate will assist with all the phases of the SDLC related to new development as well as maintenance of assigned areas:
Participate in requirements gathering
Analysis and design
Coding and unit/integration testing.
Create/update program specifications and detail design documents.
Research and fix production issues.
Assist with application performance tuning.
Mentor other programming staff.
Mandatory Qualifications:
Software Developer Is involved with all facets of the software development process including the research design programming testing and implementation of computer software.
Expert 84 Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
Requested Qualifications:
84 months of COBOL programming experience in an IBM Mainframe Environment utilizing TSO.
84 months of MVS JCL experience.
84 months of IBM DB2 experience for z/OS working with large databases.
48 months experience with IBM MQ Series.
60 months of system analysis and design experience for multitiered transactional systems.
84 months of experience writing technical design specification documents for multifaceted component bases systems.
