Position Summary:
The Radiology Technologist will perform radiography & angiography procedures under the supervision of the Modality Supervisory Technologist and Modality Medical Director. The Radiology Technologist will:
- Perform all technical procedures within the respective modality sections as described in the Radiology Policy Manual.
- Meet the technical competency requirements for the position.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with all staff.
- Participate in professional education programs patient/staff safety initiatives and quality assurance/ improvement activities.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current BLS certification
- Current Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography (Full/General) license or ability to obtain registered certification within 12 months of hire and prior to the expiration of a temporary license
- Current ARRT registered certification in Radiography with RT(R) designation or eligible for ARRT certification
- Imaging acquisition processing reviewing sending and retrieving equipment (hardware and software); Hospital information system equipment (hardware and software); Communication equipment (e.g. fax telephone email etc..
- Ability to use computers
- Ability to speak read and write in English
- Ability to hear and respond to staff and patient needs
- Ability to physically position patients
- Ability to manipulate imaging equipment
